Our Services
Image CaptureFor the finest quality reproductions, it all starts here. Utilizing BetterLight scanning back technology, special care is taken to light each piece of art in order to reproduce the look and feel of the original and bring out the finest details.
Color ManagementIn order to maintain consistency from print to print, the color management of monitors and printers is critical. We profile our printers for each of our papers and canvases. This attention to detail allows the artist to order one print today and ten prints months from now, knowing confidently their prints will match time and time again.
Color MatchingColor management is only part of the equation. Color management allows for repeatability but doesn't solve the fact that cameras and printers "see" color differently than the human eye. This is where the talent of the giclée printmaker comes into play. The reproduction of art is a collaboration between the artist and the printmaker. A series of proofs are made and adjustments are made as needed. When the image is perfected the printer's proof or bon-a'-tirer (B.A.T.) is signed. This is the image that the rest of the edition is matched to.
